Core Goal #1....The Planning Commission seeks citizen input on planning for the future development of the community and has drafted more core goals outlined below.

Core Goal #2....Maintain and improve efforts to beautify the town and preserve it's history.

Core Goal #3....Maintain Bethany's character as a residential and historic community, while encouraging commercial and economic development.

Core Goal #4....Establish effective but minimally intrusive land use controls.

Core Goal #5....Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relations with Bethany College, Brooke County, state and federal government entities.

Core Goal #6....Promote and enhance the town's cultural and recreational activities.

Core Goal #7 ....Promote and maintain consistent health, wellness and family care.

Core Goal #8....Reach out to various community organizations to help with projects of benifit to the community.

Core Goal #9....Promote and maintain safety and security for Bethany residents.
